GMMC is located at the beautiful and historic Park-McCullough House in the small New England town of North Bennington. We feel this is the perfect canvas upon which to perform and create music and theater.
GMMC accepts 100 students on a first-come, first-served basis. No audition is necessary. Instruments accepted for this program are: Voice, Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Saxophone, Bassoon, Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Baritone, Tuba and Percussion.
Housing is available for those living a distance away from North Bennington. Musicians are placed in homes of local campers. Local students in the past have enjoyed having out-of-town students in their homes for the duration. We take care in placing musicians with others of the same age and gender. The host family is responsible for meals and transportation to and from camp (an additional fee applies, see our Fees and Forms page).
For the 2010 season, GMMC will again offer a full-day program (9am–3:30pm) in which students can choose from a wide variety of specialties for a complete camp experience. They will be able to choose among Chorus, Band, Orchestra, Theater—or all of the options. The hugely successful Chamber Music program will again be offered.
